Roo Games Australia Pty Ltd respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information, and how you can access, correct or delete it. It has been prepared in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We collect personal information that you provide directly to us when you create an account, enter a draw, purchase a membership, request support or otherwise interact with our services. This typically includes your name, date of birth, residential and postal address, email address, phone number, and payment information (processed and stored by Stripe, not by us). We also collect limited technical information automatically, including IP address, device type, browser, approximate location, and pages visited.
We collect your information to verify your eligibility (age, residency), operate your account, issue and draw prize entries, contact winners, process payments, deliver physical prizes, comply with our trade promotion permits and Australian law, send service messages and — with your consent — send marketing communications. We rely on contract performance, legal obligation and, for marketing only, your consent.
We share personal information only with third parties who help us run Roo Games: Stripe (payments), Supabase (hosting and database), Resend (transactional email), Klaviyo (marketing email, only with your consent), Twilio (SMS notifications), and our insured courier partners for physical prize delivery. We never sell your personal information. Where required by law, a valid subpoena or a regulator, we will also disclose information to government agencies.
Some of our service providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Before sharing personal information with an overseas provider we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider handles it in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterwards as we are legally required to — typically 7 years for tax, financial and permit-compliance records. Marketing preferences and unsubscribe records are kept indefinitely so that we can honour your choices.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, withdraw your consent to marketing at any time, and request deletion of your account and associated personal information. You can do most of this yourself from Profile → Privacy, or by emailing our Privacy Officer at gday@roogames.au. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.
Our website uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used. We do not run behavioural advertising trackers. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time, though some features of the site may not work correctly without them.
Roo Games is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will close it immediately and delete the associated personal information.
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption, hashed passwords, limited staff access, audit logging and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at gday@roogames.au.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email. Continuing to use Roo Games after a change means you accept the updated policy.
